650 Fico score, would i get a unsecured credit card?
Okay here is my situation. I have a Fico score of 650. I have no collections or charge offs, But i have a repossession back in December of 08 from a car i co signed for a family member who did not pay for the vehicle, but other then that my credit has no other damages to it. I also have 5 Opened credit cards in good standing.. Limit for all 5 totals $6000.00My yearly income is 80k.What do you guys think my limit would be? Thanks

My parents& 039 small business started going under about two years ago. They sank every penny they had into it. They were unable to continue paying the mortgage on their house, and I had to start paying for it, until one year ago they transferred it completely to me. They are no longer listed on the ownership docs, and I& 039 m listed as the sole owner.They are now being sued by the credit card company because they& 039 re unable to pay the debt about 6,000 . They have no assets no car, no business, no property, no valuable possessions, under $300 in the bank and are living with my sister. Neither one is working.Three questions 1 Can the credit card company come after my house, claiming they transferred it to me to hide assets? This is not true they had no idea at the time of the transfer that they wouldn& 039 t be able to pay the credit card off.2 Is there any reason for them to go through the bankruptcy process, since they are too old to ever work again, so there are no future assets to protect?3 What is the worst case scenario with the credit card company trying to sue them?
Unsecured Credit Card Debt Insurance?
Is there a company out there that insures unsecured credit card debt for banks that issue credit cards, or does the bank issuing the credit card take on the whole debt, eventually write off the unpaid balance, then sell the unpaid debt to a collection agency? I m not talking about some type of insurance a consumer can buy in case of unemployment, disability or death. This would be insurance that the bank has in place. I& 039 m guessing there s no such insurance since banks are carrying large amounts of unpaid debt on their balance sheets not just foreclosures , but it never hurts to ask. For a better idea of what I m asking, look at it this way. When I took out my mortgage the bank required me to carry mortgage insurance until 70% 80% of the loan is paid off. The mortgage insurance is included in my monthly mortgage payment don t confuse mortgage insurance with home owner s insurance, they re two totally different insurances . Since we re on the subject of mortgage insurance, does anyone know if you can shop around for mortgage insurance , or is this a deal that is struck between the lender and mortgage insurance provider only?
