Question: Pre-paid credit cards ---- whats a "monthly maintenance" fee?

What does maintenance, exactly mean? If the fee is $15, will they take $15 from your account every month? What if you have 0$ in you card, or say 10$... then what?

Yup. It 's not allowed in some states. You must live in a terrible state.

That 's how they make a profit. They will take the $15 out once a month, every month. If the balance hits zero, you have to read the fine print to see what happens then. If you can get a bank account at a local (to you) bank, they will give you a Visa debit card. And if you 're lucky there will be no monthly fee. Just go in a few banks and ask. Good luck.
