Question: 18 yrs old, need a credit card ... no job or credit history?

My job doesnt start until July. Im looking for a job but I need cash now, about $200, its kind of an emergency situation. Is there a loan or credit card I can get without a Job or credit history? I start college in the fall, so I dont think I will be able to get a student card.

No job = no credit card. Very simple. No one is going to lend you money when you have no way to pay it back!!

No bank will give you a loan without a job. If it 's just $200 you need - why not ask a family member for a personal loan? Or several family members for a few smaller loans that add up to $200? In a situation like yours, with no credit and no job, your family is your best bet - outside of selling a possession that has some value.

Sorry, not gonna happen. Under-21s can no longer get a credit card without proof of income and a parent to cosign. With no job, you won 't even be able to get a payday loan.

When a credit card company extends you credit, you have to prove that you can pay them back. No job, no credit card. That is how it works.

New credit card laws make it next to impossible for anyone under 21 to get a credit card. Without credit and a job, you will also not qualify for any sort of loan. Your best bet is to borrow the money from friends or family.
