I was offered 0% interst on credit card balance transfers..Should I do this to save on APR?
I have 2 cards with 0 balances allready. If I have too many accounts open will that hurt my credit? I also want to save interest and transfer a higher rate cc to on of the balance transfer offers I got. How many credit cards are tooooo many?

This would be to a credit card I already have that& 039 s offering a promotional rate as opposed to opening a new one. The card most of my debt is on is charging me a penalty rate because of a couple late payments. I have already transferred the balance twice in the past year between the two cards. I& 039 m probably going to do it anyway since it will save me hundreds of dollars in interest ,but i was wondering if there was a downside to it at all.

My credit is pretty decent, I try and keep all of my cards under 30% of my limit.If I decide to transfer my balances, I would leave a small balance on each card to continue building credit, maybe 5% of the credit limit on each card. The only drawback is that my card that I& 039 m transfering these balances to would then be at 60% of it& 039 s limit. The question of the day, is eliminating debt on my other cards by sacraficing the balance on one going to help or hurt my credit? I went to make my first payment on the new card, but it won& 039 t let me. It says my account was restricted, and that I had to call. So I called them, answered all their questions regarding my previous address, credit history, etc, to verify who I am, yet they still say their is possible fraud and won& 039 t unlock my account. Im thinking of doing a balance transfer on a card that is about to end its 12 mo of 0%. Ive done a few balances transfers nothing over $3000 in the past year and a half. Will doing another balance transfer hurt my credit enough to where its a bad idea? Id rather take a little hit on the credit to have a 0% card for a year, especially when I dont use the card for anything else BUT the balance transfer in the beginning.
