This is actually a sticky question. Technically, a prepaid card does not report to a credit agency, however, several are starting to offer something called "Credit Builder " which can demonstrate your credit worthiness when applying for housing, credit, insurance, employment, and phone.

No prepaid card ever reports anything good. Sometimes, if you use the card to spend more than you have on the card, and the realize that you owe them money, and you do not pay it, then they will report something bad.
