I was recently scammed by "Pac Promos" will they really report me to credit agencies?
yes, I know it was naive, and not good decision making on my part HOWEVER, I signed up for the salon " Pac Promos" membership to be charged 4 consecutive months $20, and receive spa benefits. I signed up 11 6 09 and they were supposed to start charging me 11 15 09. They charged me 11 08 09 and I sent them an email complaining on 11 10 09. This is within 72 business hours of signing the " contract" so aren& 039 t I protected under California Consumer Protection cool off law ? They refused to refund me so I cancelled my card, and they are now threatening to send me to collections 3 months later . Does anyone know if they are really capable of sending me to collections? I have contacted Consumer Protection Agency and will be disputing the charge with my bank tomorrow now that I know I am protected. Thanks

I paid off my mortgage about 3 months ago. All 3 credit reporting agencies took it off my reports. The payments were always made on time. There was never a late payment. Should the agencies leave this item on to show credit worthiness, or is it better to leave it off? I would like to buy a new house next year. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Hi I am trying to dispute an account on my credit report from JC Penny. The account is not mine, I was an authorized user. Unfortiantley the person stopped paying their monthly payments on their account 2 years ago and i barely ordered my credit report and found out now. Ok I total lost my car and Im trying to get something else. Car lots check my credit it comes back that my credit is shot. I went on the Transunion website and disputed somethings on my credit report and they deleted some of the items, not all of them. My thing is how can they say they verified the other accounts. Even if the company said I opened the account how can they prove it was me. Someone else may have had all my information and opened up credit cards in my name. How can the company say it was me if I was not face to face with them when I supposedly signed the credit card agreement. Im going to contact the other credit agencies and let them know someone else used my information what else can I do to get them deleted from my credit report. Has anyone had luck with equifax deleting items you claim as identity fraud from your report. Help please, any advice will help.

Credit agencies refuse to remove my father's bad credit from my report?
I& 039 m 21 years of age and have 3 credit cards, all of which are in great standing I have never been late. I don& 039 t owe a large amount of money. I have no other loans, no mortgages, no medical bills or any real expenses. So you would think I have perfect credit according to the three reporting agencies Transunion, Experian and Equifax. Not so fast My father is my opposite he has terrible credit and owes thousands of dollars in taxes to the state New York . You see, the problem is that my father and I share the same name I happen to be the Third. The agencies, for some reason, don& 039 t seem to check social security numbers and just plaster my father& 039 s tax liens and crap on my report. One of the best entries $7000 owed in taxes, reported in 2001 , when I was in 8th grade. So I did the sensible thing and disputed this nonsense unfortunately, they said they can& 039 t remove this from my record, it has to be done through my county clerk. So I called the clerk, nothing they can do. I had to call another number to get in touch with some state bureau, got the run around from then, told me I had to go to my borough& 039 s record department and get some records proving it& 039 s not mine, got the run around there... point being, I haven& 039 t been getting any help. What are my options?
