Question: Bad credit / credit card?

I need to get a credit card so that I can build my credit, problem is, I had a medical bill that wasn& #039;t paid on time, and now my credit is bad. I now can& #039;t get approved for ANYTHING credit card, what should I do to get one?

I assume you have paid the medical bill, if not, pay it soonest. Next, try applying for a card at a local department store or even Home Depot/ Lowe 's They tend to be a little easier to get since they cater to local folks. If that fails, get a secured card (you put $500 in a bank account and they give you a card with a $500 limit - you can 't touch the $500). Use whatever card you get for small purchases you will pay off every month. After 6 - 9 months, apply for a second card, use it also for small purchases (split your purchases between the two cards) that you will also pay off every month. That should help build your credit.
