Okay..so I have no help as far as co signers and so on. My Score is 550 due to a bad divorce and I have to start somewhere. These bad credit credit cards basically charge you a large fee on the card before you even get it. Here is the question. It would be the only revolving open credit card on my credit report after years of crappy credit from the divorce . So if I just bite it and pay the fee& 039 s and lets say..only charge like a pack of chewing gum on the card..and just keep the payments going even if its like $5. bucks a month...Will this help my credit score go up?Basically..can you buy your way out of a bad credit score like this? So I used the freecreditreport.com feature for experian and my credit report is not so bad. Experian shows $8.797 in outstanding debt total, with 0% credit available, and a credit score of 529. It used to be $18,000 in debt, but I got lots taken off due to id theft. So I never disupted anything with transunion or equifax, because I don& 039 t have online access to them due to my flag on my id. I don& 039 t know how to manually do it. It& 039 s just such a long process SO I have had all the bad credit, credit cards like first premier bank, orchard bank etc., Now I when I apply for a card, it automatically denies it and I get a letter in the mail, and it hurts my credit even more. SO how can I get a card? Could I call a major company for example and ask if they would start me off with lke 250.00 credit line, and pay on it, and build it up?
