How should I deal with bad credit card debt that I became overwhelmed with?
I have about $53K in credit card debt that I became overwhelmed with and was unable to pay minimum payments. I stopped paying and caught up with all my other obligations and bills. I am now in a budgeted position to pay something on a monthly basis and I& 039 ve been working with the collectors but most of them are asking a lump some down payment to work out a payment option. Also they are asking me to pay something over the phone. I& 039 ve heard not to pay anything unless they put a contract together in writing. How should I figure out which to pay first or should I try to pay a certain amount for each one...they range from $5K to $25

When i was 18 19 yrs old i ran up 3 credit cards $954 washington mutual, $2,152 bank of america, and $10,000 american express. This has all been written off since 2007. On top of all this i owe BMW Financial $7,500 after my car being repossessed back in 07 this has also been written off and the worse part is my mother co signed ALSO, i have 3 accounts in the Chexsystem for not paying overdraft fees. $395 bank of america, $505 US bank, $781 Washington mutual now CHASE . Now i can& 039 t open any checking accounts.YES I WAS A VERY RECKLESS AND NAIVE 18 19yr old Here is the good news, I am now 22yrs old. I Opened up a dog training business one year ago since it is a skill i have perfected over the past 4 years. Now i am making some decent money. Clients are writing me $1500 dollar checks and i feel conflicted when they write them to me personally instead of business name. I CANNOT OPEN A BUSINESS CHECKING ACCOUNT BECAUSE OF CHEXSYSTEMS SO what should i do? i want to pay off all debt however i have read that even if you pay all the bad debt it will still remain on your credit report.As for chexsystems. i have the money to pay off all 3 accounts however i have also read that the accounts will remain on there for the next 5 year even if you pay them off. I REALLY NEED TO OPEN A BUSINESS ACCOUNT.PLEASE HELP

A friend made bad decisions and got in bad credit card and unsecured loan debt in UK.?
About 50k between various cards etc In a panic, he has defaulted on payments and disappeared for a while. He intends to go to Europe for a while and sort himself out so that eventually he can try and sort out his debts back here. How likely is it that the banks or debt collectors will issue him with CCJs if he has no known address in UK? And are the banks likely to investigate him for fraud if he disappears for a while, even though he wants to resolve the problem when possible? He is very scared that he may be arrested at the airport leaving or returning to UK.. He badly regrets it believe me, so please no smart ass comments... I HAVE BAD CREDIT FROM MEDICAL BILLS. ONLY ABOUT 1,300.00 IM LOOKING FOR A CREDIT CARD TO HELP REPAIR MY CREDIT WITH NO ANNUAL FEE. I TRYED VISA SALUTE, BUT THEY WANT ME TO SEND IN 20.00 TO START. IVE LOOKED IN ALOT OF PLACES ONLINE AND ON YAHOO ANSWERS. SO, IF A REAL GENIUS CAN COME UP WITH A GOOD ANSWER LET ME KNOW. IM SICK OF GOING TO CRAPPY SITES AND GETING NOWHERE. THANKS SOOO MUCH Weh I still cant get one. And that VISA salute has a fee each month, i read up on it, and that is about 120.00 a year. eiiks. i guess ill pass

ok I owed around 3000. ya bad I know. I am scared. if I can come up Whit a 1000 Whit in a matter of days what I cant. they well close the account. but I was thinking should I just sign up for another credit card and paying it off whit that and start out fresh . because whit the card I have know they wont to take me to court and sue it for more. what I would make payment right know but they wont settle for what I can gave them a moth but that me to bl em for getting one in the 4 place what I had a not good paying job at the time and the time I talk to them it was like they would not settle for what I could gave the Lotte more money then I can gave ...oh sorry about my bad spelling I know I need to work on this please help I am sared

Should I cancel a bad credit card even if it's the one I've had the longest?
I got my first credit card, from Capital One, about 3 and a half years ago. It has a $39 annual fee, a $500 limit, and the APR just went up a whole lot for no reason. Since then, I& 039 ve only gotten one other credit card, and it& 039 s been open for 9 months. I don& 039 t use my capital one card at all, and my other one has a balance of less than $50. I& 039 m trying to keep my credit score up. Should I keep the capital one card, and pay the $39 fee, or would it be okay if I went ahead and closed it? I guess I& 039 m wondering how much of a difference there will be in my credit score.

i sell jewelry at local street fairs and have one of the old school credit card machines where i take an imprint of the card and come home and run it on the computer. today when i tried to run one of the cards it came up as declined. i have an imprint of the guy& 039 s card, his name, and driver& 039 s license number, is there anything i can do about this bad card and to get my money? it& 039 s not a ton of money but it& 039 s enough that it is worth putting in some time and effort trying to get him to pay for the stuff he bought at the fair.i do not have any of his contact info, just his name and driver& 039 s license number, and it is an out of state license. no phone number, no address.

When my husband and I first got married we racked up my credit cards. It& 039 s now, 2 kids and 3 years later. We havent paid anything since 2004. I have about 30,000 on credit cards. More than we can pay. Will this just fall of my credit, the money owed? or just the negative comments? I am debating on waiting and not paying or filing bankruptcy. Basicalymy only options.
