I was think of an American Express card because they don& 039 t charge interest until February 2011 and I will have paid off everything by then anyway. American Express credit card sent to collection attorney after 3 collection agencies gave up?
Ive been disputing my American Express debt for a few months now sending out 30 day compliance letters asking for validation.I have a real aggresive letter written by an attorney. So far 3 collection agencies backed down and sold it off. Now a collection attorney picked it up and I sent them the same thing. They sent me some of my old bills through fed ex. I dont really feel this is validation, but know it is. I want to see my signature on something. Wouldnt that be proof? What do I do next? How would I send them a formal letter to make a payment deal? Anyone experience this? I cant afford an attorney and do not want to go to court. Also how long before they file suit against me? It hasnt been more than 45 days that im dealing with them.
American Express credit card help?
Today I tried to use my AMEX at Lowe& 039 s and it was declined, I immediately called AMEX, and they told me my account had been closed. They said from time to time they review cardholders credit history and based on mine, they decided to close my account. They based it from Experian, they said I had too many inquires, and using over 80% of my available credit. I said this info isn& 039 t correct and I was told I would have to talk to Experian. When I got home I check my credit report for Experian, I have a score of 723, im using 42% percent of my credit, and I have two inquires in the past 12 months, tommorow that will change to 1. I called AMEX Again and told them what they are saying about my Experian history, and what i see on my experian history are two completely different things. The woman told me two wait 30 days, they will get automatic update from experian, and ask to have my account reinstated. But the woman I spoke to before said they don& 039 t reinstate accounts for this type of closure. So my question is how do I fight this? I mean I call the number on the back of my card, and the people are no help. So my account was closed for a reason that isn& 039 t even valid. I have a $2000 line with $586 on it, I have never missed a payment, never late, always pay significantly more that the minimum. I have had the card a year and a half. Any suggestions?.
